This is an excellent opportunity for a retired RN, semi-retired nurse, or nurse currently working part-time who would like to earn additional income while maintaining a flexible schedule. Position Requirements Must hold a current and unrestricted Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license. Will serve as the agency’s designated Nurse Manager, with the RN license associated with the agency as required by applicable regulations. Must be willing and able to fulfill all responsibilities required of the Nurse Manager under applicable Florida AHCA requirements. Must be available and responsive during an AHCA survey, inspection, complaint investigation, or other regulatory review when the Nurse Manager’s participation is required. Must maintain required personnel, credentialing, and nursing documentation necessary for regulatory compliance. Review and/or sign client care plans and nursing-related documentation as required. Assist with periodic review of client care plans and ensure that services remain appropriate to the client’s needs. May conduct in-home assessments or care plan reviews when necessary. Provide nursing oversight and guidance to agency management and caregivers within the scope of the position and providing training at orientation. Assist the agency in maintaining compliance with applicable AHCA rules, policies, procedures, and quality standards. Participate in staff education or orientation when nursing oversight or clinical education is required. Be available for consultation regarding client-care concerns that require RN review or direction. Notify agency leadership promptly of any change, restriction, expiration, or disciplinary action involving the RN license. Ideal Candidate Retired or semi-retired Registered Nurses. RNs currently working part-time. Experienced nurses looking for supplemental monthly income. Nurses with home health, home care, assisted living, long-term care, hospice, hospital, or nursing-management experience. Nurses looking for a professional role that does not require a traditional full-time bedside schedule. Schedule This is a part-time, flexible Nurse Manager position and is not intended to be a traditional full-time nursing role. However, the Nurse Manager must maintain reasonable availability for required agency responsibilities and must make themselves available when needed for an AHCA inspection or regulatory survey. Compensation Monthly compensation on using the license. Additional monthly income with compensation to be discussed based on responsibilities and experience. Any separately authorized in-home assessments, care-plan visits, training, or additional nursing services may be compensated according to the agency’s agreed-upon rate. Important This position is more than simply allowing the agency to list an RN license. The selected Nurse Manager must actively fulfill the professional and regulatory responsibilities associated with the position and work collaboratively with agency leadership to maintain high standards of client care and AHCA compliance.
